Bahrain Cricket Federation hosted the ACC Men’s U16 West Zone Cup in UAE from the 24th to the 30th of March 2023 at the Vision Cricket Center grounds in Sharjah.
The Tournament featured U16 teams from UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, who competed for the title in a single round-robin format event.
Bahrain had an excellent start and won most of its matches to make it to the finals but stumbled at the last hurdle and the series was clinched by UAE.
Of the five matches it played, Bahrain won 3 and lost two. UAE’s victory was a well-deserved one as they won all five of their matches.
This is the first time Bahrain hosted any international cricket tournament and the organisation of the tournament was praised by all.
