Bahrain won the 1st game against Qatar for the T20 World Cup – Asia A qualifiers, with an amazing 8 wicket victory in the 14th over with 41 balls remaining.
The dashing Bahraini opener Muhammed Younis was selected as the player of the match for his match winning 82 not out off 44 balls.
Winning the toss, Bahrain elected to field first and Qatar made 133/5 in the stipulated 20 overs . Bahrain reached the winning target in 13.1 over with the loss of just two wickets.
The Bahraini openers made a solid start in the run chase with a century opening partnership, with Sarfaraz Ali giving a good partnership as the opener with his 42 runs.
