Bahrain won the toss and elected to bowl which turned out to be an excellent decision as Rizwan Butt bowled electrifyingly and took a five-wicket haul in 3.5 overs giving away only 16 runs.

He gave Bahrain the breakthrough it needed at every turn, taking crucial wickets like Abdul Bhadelia who scored 67(55) before being bowled out by Butt. Singapore was all out for 168 in 19.5 overs.

When Bahrain came out to bat, Prashant got the momentum going quickly scoring 17 off 10 balls with 2 brilliant sixes but then we lost a couple of wickets.

The innings looked shaky till Sohail Ahmed played a fantastic knock of 52 in 39 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes, supported ably by Haider Butt 39 (33) and Ahmer Nasir 37(19) who enured Bahrain won by 6 wickets with 12 balls left.

Rizwan Butt for his beautiful fifer was the man of the match.
