Bahrain Cricket Federation Governance & Integrity Policy
1. Purpose
This policy establishes the standards of professional conduct, integrity, responsibility and good governance expected from individuals participating in or representing the Bahrain Cricket Federation.
2. Scope
This policy applies, where relevant, to BCF Board Members, employees, players, coaches, officials, volunteers, committee members and other authorised representatives.
3. Code of Conduct
All individuals representing BCF are expected to:
- Act professionally and responsibly.
- Demonstrate respect towards players, opponents, officials and stakeholders.
- Protect the reputation and integrity of Bahrain cricket.
- Avoid abusive, discriminatory, threatening or inappropriate behaviour.
- Follow applicable BCF, ICC and ACC regulations.
4. Safeguarding & Player Welfare
BCF is committed to providing a safe and supportive cricket environment, particularly for children and young participants.
The welfare, safety and wellbeing of participants shall remain an important consideration in BCF programmes and activities.
5. Equality & Inclusion
BCF supports inclusive participation and equal opportunity within cricket.
Discrimination, harassment and inappropriate conduct shall not be tolerated within activities under the Federation’s jurisdiction.
6. Anti-Corruption
BCF maintains zero tolerance towards match manipulation, corrupt approaches and other activities that compromise the integrity of cricket.
Players, officials and relevant personnel shall comply with applicable international cricket integrity requirements.
7. Anti-Doping
Players and relevant personnel shall comply with applicable anti-doping rules and regulations.
8. Conflict of Interest
Individuals involved in BCF decision-making shall disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest and shall not improperly influence decisions from which they may personally benefit.
9. Confidentiality
Confidential information relating to players, selection, disciplinary matters, Federation operations and commercial activities shall be handled responsibly and only disclosed where authorised.
10. Social Media & Communications
Individuals representing BCF are expected to communicate responsibly and professionally.
Only authorised representatives may issue official statements on behalf of the Bahrain Cricket Federation.
11. Financial Integrity
BCF funds, property and resources shall only be used for authorised Federation purposes.
Fraud, misappropriation and unauthorised use of Federation resources are prohibited.
12. Reporting & Disciplinary Matters
Suspected breaches of BCF policies, safeguarding requirements, integrity regulations or codes of conduct should be reported through the appropriate Federation channels.
Confirmed breaches may result in disciplinary action in accordance with applicable BCF procedures and regulations.
13. Review
This policy shall be reviewed periodically and updated where necessary to reflect changes in Federation operations and applicable regulations.
