Bahrain Cricket Federation Strengthens Global Partnerships at ICC Annual Conference 2026

Edinburgh, Scotland – The Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) proudly participated in the ICC Annual Conference 2026, joining cricket leaders from around the world in one of the sport’s most significant annual gatherings. Representing the Kingdom of Bahrain were Mr. Mohammad Mansoor, Chairman – Advisory Board, and Mr. Sami Mohammed Ali, President, reaffirming the Federation’s commitment to strengthening Bahrain’s presence within the global cricket community

Hosted by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the conference welcomed representatives from 98 Associate Members and 12 Full Members, providing a valuable platform for collaboration, strategic discussions, and the continued advancement of the game worldwide.

Throughout the conference, the Bahrain Cricket Federation actively engaged with ICC leadership and fellow Member Boards, exchanging ideas and best practices aimed at accelerating cricket development, improving governance, and expanding opportunities for players, officials, and administrators. Discussions focused on building stronger cricket ecosystems while reinforcing the important role Associate Members play in the global growth of the sport.

A major highlight of the conference was the Global Growth & Innovation Forum and the Members’ Seminar, where delegates explored emerging trends in sports technology, fan engagement, digital innovation, commercial sustainability, grassroots participation, and high-performance development. The sessions provided valuable insights into how modern cricket continues to evolve while creating long-term opportunities for Member nations.

The conference also served as an opportunity to celebrate the progress being made across the cricketing world, with Member Boards sharing success stories and exchanging knowledge on governance, infrastructure, women’s cricket, youth development, and sustainable growth initiatives.

Beyond the formal programme, the inaugural Criiio Cup showcased cricket’s unique ability to unite cultures and communities. The friendly competition brought together representatives from across the ICC membership, reinforcing the values of friendship, diversity, sportsmanship, and collaboration that continue to define the global cricket family.
